Current Open Positions Include:

A Mactech Offshore Technician must have excellent mechanical ability. Logical thinking to troubleshoot problems with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and diesel engine systems is a must. You will be responsible to operate our cutting and machining tools in accordance with our operating procedures and perform cleaning, maintenance and repairs on our wide range of equipment. Our equipment ranges from On-Site machining tools such as drills, flange facers, boring bars, and pipe beveling machines to underwater cutting tools such as diamond wire saws and the support equipment such as hydraulic power supplies, control panels, hose reels & umbilicals.

Essential Job Functions (Including but not limited to):

Workshop Operations:

  • Assist with shipping & receiving needs by loading & unloading trucks using forklifts or overhead crane and checking in shipments against packing lists
  • Staging equipment in designated areas for storage, maintenance, or shipment
  • Cleaning equipment in the wash bay using a pressure washer or parts washer and other cleaning products
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on equipment as directed by the Operations Manager or Workshop Operations Supervisor to a high standard of quality and accuracy
  • Testing equipment pre and post maintenance to meet our quality control and records keeping standards
  • Pulling parts and equipment from inventory to fill customer orders & requests
  • Using tools and equipment such as welders, plasma cutters, torches, band saws, lathes and mills to fabricate or repair equipment
  • Offshore & On-Site Operations:

  • Operate Mactech Offshore equipment according to our operating procedure equipment in a variety of settings including offshore platforms, floating vessels, construction sites and industrial settings
  • Maintain Mactech Offshore equipment according to our maintenance procedures and industry best practices
  • Troubleshoot issues which may arise and make repairs in a timely and quality manner
  • Communicate with our customers project leads to understand and prepare for operations
  • Hold toolbox talks, do risk assessments and complete JSA’s at the start of each shift
  • Accurately track and report daily operating usage and costs while on location
  • Keep detailed logs of operations records and times of events related to operations
  • Field Machinist

  • Essential Job Functions (Including but not limited to):

  • Maintenance and operation of a variety of field machining equipment, including services such as pipe beveling and cutting, line boring, flange facing, among other creative applications.
  • Keeps equipment available for use by inspecting and testing; completing preventive maintenance such as, disassembly, inspection, reassembly, function test, final inspection, and proper packaging.
  • Maintains equipment functional condition by listening to operator/customer complaints; conducting inspections; repairing equipment failures; repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems malfunctions; replacing parts and components; repairing cosmetic damage.
  • Operates portable machining and heat-treating equipment in various locations such as Power Plants, Paper Mills, Ship Yards, Manufacturing Plants, Chemical Plants, Refineries, Steel Mills, Mines, Wind Farms, and on Heavy Equipment.
  • Constant client communication. You will be your client’s main point of contact onsite. This communication includes job start introductions, managing timeline expectations throughout a job, and relaying feedback to the Mactech team.
